 If you are
interesed in Masonry, contact Fairfields Lodge, and speak to a Mason. If you
know a Mason, give him a call and get some preliminary information.
The Volume Of
Sacered Law (VSL) for Fairfields Lodge #425 is the Christian Bible. Some lodges
may have the Koran, Torah or other text, especially in foreign lands.

Here is a panoramic (and slightly distorted) view of
the lodge Room, from the Junior Warden's Station on the right, to the Senior
Warden's Station on the far left. Here the lodge is readied for installation of
officers, and seating has been placed for the new officers behind the altar
(foreground). Opposite the altar is the Master's station.

Becoming a Member
Membership in the Lodge is open to
men 18 years of age or older. You must pass
strict trials, and prove
yourself worthy, but the rewards of growth
in Masonry last a lifetime.
Some men wait
until their 60's and retirement to start Masonry. Others begin the day they
turn 18. Still others start in the youth organization DeMolay, then join when
they come of age. Some Masons have a long tradition of Fathers, Uncles and other
relatives in Masonry. Others have just themselves. Whether or not you come from
Masonic tradition has no bearing on your chances for becoming a Mason. The
Fraternity thrives on all of its heritages.
Father and Son Masons
No matter when you start the
process of becoming a Mason, you will find a warm welcome into Masonry. And
should you become a Master Mason, you will understand the process has begun in
taking a good man and making him better!
If you know a Mason, ask him for
help getting started. If you don't know one, contact your nearest lodge for
more information and an application.(Here is a hint: Look in the phone book!)
Be direct! It is the only
way. |

Officers travel
once around the Lodge before taking their stations.
Every year, the installation banquet and ceremony is open to
the public; especially friends, family, and other Masons.

For the next year, the Master will
shoulder the responsibility of seeing that the Lodge is operated according to
its bylaws and the rules of Masonry, and that all Masons in Fairfields Lodge
receive the benefits they are due.
Becoming a Mason starts when you ask for
a petition.
The role the military veteran plays in the life
of the lodge is an important one. While military service is by no means a
requirement for membership in a Masonic Lodge, many of our members have served
with distinction. |
